The old movie is not dead; I just want to write another script. Here's a basic plot outline
Untitled pizza guy movie: plot outline
I feel it best to just lay my intentions for this movie out before I actually write the plot down. I want to make a movie influenced by lo-fi car stereos blasting out the rock and roll of the 80’s, the ridiculous cartoons like “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” and “Transformers” that I grew up watching along with movies like “Back to the Future” and “Star Wars” (everything I do is influenced by Star Wars on some scale; it’s possibly my earliest memory of movies), and most importantly Samurai action films like the “Lone Wolf and Cub” series. This film will be the second in the “Holy War” universe, retaining many of the characters from “Holy War” especially Steve.
So without further a-do…
Max Fletcher (name subject to change) is 18 years old. He is basically the normal senior in high school, apathetic and bored with where he is. He works a pizza place as a delivery boy, only to save up enough money in order to buy a new car stereo system because all he has is an old 1986 Honda with a busted tape deck. Max also has the hots for a girl named Kristine Wainwright, the hottest and richest girl in the school; her father heads a multinational corporation which deals in, of course: exports.
Everything seems to be going fine for Max, he has enough money for his stereo (and is carrying it in cash) and is planning on quitting his job and asking Kristine out (she ordered a pizza on his route providing him with the “perfect” chance) when he is robbed while delivering a pizza. Shattered, Max plans to deliver the last two pizzas on his route and then cry himself to sleep.
When he arrives at Kristine’s house, Max witnesses her being kidnapped and the Japanese butler who is wielding a katana sword get brutally stabbed by a masked man. Max reaches the butler before he dies, the man claims to be the descendant of an ancient samurai warrior who wielded a mystical blade, the katana that he now possesses, that will turn the bearer into an unstoppable demon. He gives the blade to max and charges him with the task of saving Kristine from a group of yakuza crime bosses who are holding her for ransom against her father.
After the butler dies, Max flees the scene in his car, deciding (after an angry call from his boss) to deliver his last pizza.
When Max reaches the house to deliver the pizza he is surrounded by masked ninja and blacks out. He wakes up in the yard surrounded by sliced up ninja and the sword strapped to his back. He, and the pizza boxes are covered in blood as he approaches the house in a dazed effort to deliver the pizzas. He rings the doorbell and the owner of the house opens the door, peers at Max and then quickly slams the door shut. The next shot is that of Max driving down the highway eating pizza.
The story pick up from there, max discovers some kind of ninja plot, foils it, saves the day, gets a sweet new car stereo and hooks up with Kristine. The film ends with a shot of Max walking into his driveway to find his car windows smashed and his stereo stolen.

*BUMP*
I just figured that I would try to resurrect this thing. I think that our only hope of getting this movie finished is to knock out several intense days of pre-planning and then shoot during spring break. If we can plan everything out before we shoot (this includes memorizing lines) then I think that finishing over the break is very possible.
Please get back to me soon and tell me if you are going to be available.

Just something that I happened to stumble upon
I was busy spending my time doing nothing when I happened upon this series of comics on xkcd. Surprisingly it has a similar plot to "Holy War." Check it out. (it's in 5 parts, just hit "next" to see the next page)
http://xkcd.com/341/
oh yeah, how does the 29th sound for a get together to discuss production?
amendment #1: the 29th may not work, how's the 3rd?

Dusty...
It's been quite a while since anything has been accomplished (about 2 months) and I suppose that most of you guys already know that almost every one involved in this got karate-kicked in the collective gonads with school assignments and plays (especially those, congrats on "Frog and Toad" by the way guys. maybe eventually it will stop sucking up all of your time after school.)oh well, we have only a meager two weeks left of school and then no responsibilities for 15 whole days!
This is what I am trying to get at, I have been receiving requests from many of you guys to get going on the film again; I am with you guys 100%. Here's my proposal: we get together sometime in the very, very near future and have a massive planning meeting with everybody who can be there. During the meeting we discuss future shoots and all of that fun stuff. we make the schedule, we call our parents and tell them to mark their calendars and we treat those days with priority (within reason, obviously things will come up) Then we go out there and FINISH THIS MOVIE!
whaddya think?

Week 3 here we come.
Down to business. We've done a great job so far but I think that if we are to get this thing finished in a quick fashion, then we need to make better use of our time. All of this really comes down to the director, who, for the past 2 weeks has watched from the sidelines as his work is being created for him. I believe that in order for us to accomplish the task at hand, I (the director) need to take a much firmer position during the shooting. I plan on using all of my free time this week working out every detail of every scene that we plan to film next weekend. I am going to piece together shots, generate appropriate dialog, and basically become the ultimate authority about every aspect of the movie. That's what a director does.
Everything that I tell you to do will now have a purpose. The details that I will suggest are crucial to making this movie the way it is meant to be. Just as a poet chooses his words with meticulous care, I will be sculpting this flick into my own artistic expression, the final product representing the themes and motifs that I see fit.
Shoot, I'm missing Heroes...
